Description
The Naval Air Systems Command has an immediate requirement for Production Engineering Support Services (PESS) of a non-personal nature for the Naval Air Depot, Jacksonville, FL. The contractor shall provide technical services in the areas of Industrial Support to include Engineering, Engineering Technician, Methods and Standards, Equipment Management; and Technical Research (Bill of Material) support. The Contractor shall investigate requirements for and complete the design of Avionics, Electrical, and Mechanical Production Equipment, Tools and Fixtures, to include physical design, specification writing, shop layout design, tool lists, and the development of recommendations for process and facility improvement planning. The contractor shall investigate specific technical specifications for the procurement of existing Plant Equipment or systems. The contractor shall perform detailed capability/capacity analyses to include throughput analysis, machine utilization and capacity, and analysis of completed workload data to determine if the most effective processing is being utilized. Delivery and performance of all work will be to the NADEP, Jacksonville, FL. The contract type is anticipated to be an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity Contract with Time and Material orders. The period of performance is a base year and four one-year options. The total anticipated performance of the base year is 99,450 work hours. Award is anticipated by 31 March 2002 and it is anticipated that the RFP will be released in early October 2001. This requirement is a total Set-Aside for Small Business Concerns. This requirement is being classified under the North American Industry Classification System 541330 (Engineering Services; Military and Aerospace Equipment and Military Weapons). This action is a follow-on to contract N00019-97-D-2042, the incumbent contractor is National Technologies Associate, Inc, 6601 Little River Turnpike, Suite 215, Alexandria, VA 22312.
