- Description
- Due to significant competitive advantage and schedule constraints, the U.S. Army Engineering and Support Center, Huntsville intends to make a sole-source, commercial items purchase order pursuant to FAR part 13.501 to OI Analytical 2148 Pelham Parkway, Building 400, Pelham, AL 35124, for components of a CHROM-NET air monitoring data system. This equipment will be used for a research and development project involving Lewisite chemical agent at the Chemical Agent Munitions Disposal System (CAMDS), near Stockton, UT. The equipment required must be compatible with patented, proprietary, instruments from OI Analytical currently in place at CAMDS used for sampling air for chemical agents. In order to meet our customer's needs this equipment must be delivered as soon as possible. The items required include, but are not limited to Series 3001 Field MINICAMS including 6 each of a GC module (XSD-101) with a halogen-selective detector (XSD), solid-sorbent sampling, a single-channel electrometer, a sample pump, compressed-gas regulators, a separate controller (with connectors for serial and parallel communications, and a disk drive) cables, a manual, and a small stock of expendable supplies for HD and Lewisite monitoring, CMS Part # FM3001XSD. Twenty-four each of Linear mass flow meter, 2 SLPM air, CMS Part #LMF-020S. Twenty-five each of a revised Lewisite monitoring option used with MINICAMS equipped with a halogen-selective detector and solid-sorbent preconcentrator tube. Includes an aluminum probe and necessary fittings, temperature and flow controller, 3-fot probe and controller harnesses EDT regulator and one package (10 each) of Lewisite reactor tubes, CMS Part #LEW-051. Six each of XSD bayonet portion, CMS Part #12614. Twenty-one each of Plug-in GC module with solid-sorbent and halogen-selective detector (XSD), CMS Part # XSD-101. Requirement also includes on-site technical support and preventive maintenance for one person not to exceed four weeks on site. The standard industrial code is 3826. This synopsis announcing intent of a sole-source award is not a request for proposals. Businesses that can provide the required items are invited to submit in writing an affirmative response which includes as a minimum the proposed credentials, qualifications, pricing data, past experience, proof of compatibility with existing equipment, and any additional information indicating a bona fide ability to meet this specific requirement. All responsible sources may respond to this synopsis, and any such responses may be considered by this agency. If no written responses are received in 3 calendar days, a sole source order will be issued.
