Description

The Census Bureau intends to procure services via a competitive request for proposals (RFP) to obtain and provide truck registration universe counts and truck samples for the 50 states and the District of Columbia for the 2002 tag year. The registration files must be as of May 1, 2002 and July 1, 2002. These files will ultimately serve as input to the Census Bureau's 2002 Vehicle Inventory and Use Survey (VIUS). The planned solicitation release date will be on or about November 1, 2001. The solicitation will remain open for 30 days. Interested contractors shall request a copy of the RFP, in writing, to the point of contact listed above. The RFP will be available on our website, http://www.census.gov/pro, on or about 45 days from the date of this notice. All of the information concerning this acquisition will be available on the cited website. No telephone requests will be honored. Your request shall reference solicitation number 52-SOBC-1-00008.
