Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Federal Correctional Complex, Butner, North Carolina intends to negotiate a sole-source contract modification with Opus Healthcare Solutions, Inc. under their existing contract J453c-002. This action will supplement the existing Laboratory Information System in place by adding a Microbiology software license, 2 bi-directional instrument interfaces for the Vitros 250, 1 bi-directional instrument interface for the Beckman Access, 1 bi-directional instrument interface for the Organon Technika MP3000, and 1 uni-directional instrument interface for the Tosoh Hgb A1C. This action is a sole source under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. This is not a request for proposal and no solicitation is available. Questions concerning this sole source modification may be directed to Robin Woodward at rwoodward@bop.gov. Use of any other source for this modification would result in duplication of cost and time to develop the technical capability within another contractor's workforce resulting in substantial duplication of cost that is not expected to be recovered through competition.
