Description

Reference CBD Submission Number 50N7Q0 (June 4, 2001) and four subsequent modifications, Submission Numbers: 449388 (April 27, 2000), 392269 (October 15, 1999), 395936 (October 28, 1999) and 399978 (November 10, 1999). The U.S. Army Military District of Wa shington (MDW) Acquisition Center, Ft. Belvoir, VA issued Solicitation Number DADW35-01-T-0143 to provide services to process identification (ID) cards for active duty and retired military personnel, reservists, National Guard members, eligible family memb ers, 100 percent disabled veterans and DoD Civilians in support of Base Operations at Ft. Hamilton, NY. Procedures used are Cost Comparison Study procedures regulated by OMB A-76 and DA PAM 5-20. This function was previously synopsized using the CBD submis sion numbers listed above. This solicitation also uses the Simplified Acquisition Commercial Activity procedures authorized by FAR Parts 12 and 13 and is a 100% Small Business Set Aside. The Cost Comparison process will determine if the DPW operations supp ort services functions will be converted from government managed function to contractor managed operation. The contract will have a phase-in period, base period and four option years. Performance is estimated to begin April 1, 2001. The primary SIC is 8744 , $5MIL.
