Description

The Government intends to solicit a Request for Quotation (RFQ) and award a Firm Fixed Price purchase order for the following: Fifteen (15) Wavequide Seal, NSN 5985-01-437-7186, IAW part number VWJ1076, part of the AS-4429/TSC, with a 100% option. Delivery to New Cumberland, PA. The contractor's best delivery schedule will be requested. Packaging IAW ASTMD 3951-98, Commercial Packaging. Acquisition of this wavequide seal is restricted to Communications and Power Industries Incorporated, Beverly, MA., the only source of supply, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1 (a), Only One Responsible Source. The Government physically does not have in its possession sufficient accurate or legible data to procure this part from any other source. This synopsis is for information only and not to be considered a request for quote. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) to receive contract award or payments. The Government intends to release the Request for Quote on or around 4 October 2001, on the U.S. Army Communications & Electronics Command (CECOM) Interagency Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP), web-site (http://abop.monmouth.army.mil). All parties interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the IBOP. It is the oferor's responsibility to monitor this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments or information. Hard copies of the RFQ will not be made available; you must download RFQ documents from the IBOP. Bids shall be submitted in hard copy at the time and place specified in the RFQ. See numbered Notes 22 and 26.
