- Description
- This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation that will be issued; emailed proposals are requested based on this notice. Specifications are a s follows: Fourier transform spectrometer (FTS) system containing a rapid scanning interferometer sensor head, a PC for FTS control and data acquisition and power supplies. The sensor head must be capable of being attached to and operated from a single a rm of a Kineto tracking mount and be rugged enough to operate in a field environment. Spectral range 2-15 micrometers (5m); Spectral resolution 1,2,4,8,16, 32 wave number (cm -1) Detector cooling via a stirling cooler to a temperature of 80 K (-193 0C) or less; Scan rate 80 spectra per second or greater at 32 -1 resolution; Weight less than 30 kg; A/D converter true resolution 16 bit; Operating temperature range -5 : C to 40 : C. Field of View (FOV) response shall be measured using a 1000 :C blackbody. Th e vertical and horizontal plane FOV acceptance will be met if the width of the FOV response at the 75% response level is at least 80% of the width of the FOV response at the 50% response level. Noise equivalent spectral radiance (NESR) and calibration mea surement will be performed with blackbody operated within 40 :C of the ambient temperature. The root mean square NESR value for the InSB detector shall be less than or equal to 1 x 10 -9 W/(cm2 sr cm -1) and less than or equal to 1 x 10 -8 W/(cm2 sr cm -1 ) for the MCT detector. The PC must have the ability to compute complex FFT of interferogram and display real and imaginary spectra, apply calibration data to raw data and generate calibrated spectra, generate theoretical curves via Planck's function, im port spectra into GRAMS software. Sensor head must be equipped with interchangeable telescopes and/or a changeable aperture wheel. The interferometer must be permanently optically aligned.
