Description

Amendment #2 is hereby issued to RFQ OH-01-00266, a combined synopsis/solicitation for Nitrogen Generator, Analytical Compressor, Maintenance Kit and Carbon Towers as previously advertised on September 7, 2001 for the EPA, Cincinnati, OH. The closing date for receipt of offers is changed from September 24, 2001, 4:00 PM EDT to September 26, 2001, 4:00 PM EDT. Please ensure that supporting literature is provided with your offer. The purpose of this amendment is to provide responses to technical questions as follows: Question 1. What is the actual gas purity requirement for the application? Answer 1. The EPA requires the maximum purity available commercially in a reasonably priced system. Question 2. What is the maximum level of oxygen acceptable for the application? Answer 2. EPA requires a maximum level of oxygen at 99.5% Question 3. What is the maximum gas delivery pressure needed to run the instruments? Answer 3. EPA requires that nitrogen pressure must be between 90 -- 100 psi with a flow rate of 25 L/min, for each instrument. EPA intends to run 2 to 3 instruments. Question 4. Is there compressed air available to supply a gas generator? If so, how much air is available in cfm or cfh, and at what pressure? Answer 4. Compressed air is available and is variable between 0 and 100 psi.
