Description

The United States Army Yuma Proving Ground (USAYPG), Arizona, has a requirement for the service and maintenance of various Overhead Cranes and Hoists located in multiple locations basewide. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The Request for Quote number is W81R8T-1274-CM08 and incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27 and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), 1998 Edition, current DCN 20010911. This acquisition is being solicited as a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. The North American Industrial Classification Code (NAICS) applicable to this acquisition is 333923 with a size standard of 500 employees. The contract will include a 12-month base period and two one-option periods. The contract type will be firm fixed price. The government proposes to solicit quotes for the following items: (1) Furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to provide annual maintenance and certification on 27 o verhead cranes, 13 hoists, and 2 monorails, to include, but not limited to: lubes, oil change, and adjustments. (2) Perform minor and emergency repairs. The Government will pay hourly labor rate (regular or after hours), mileage, and perdiem for repair s initiated by a service call. (3) Perform Quarterly inspections due to age and usage of the following cranes: Sierra 40/5 Ton, SN: M226C, Sierra 10 Ton, SN: M226A, Sierra 10/5 Ton, SN: M226B, Checo 25/5 Ton, SN: 108631.
