Description

The Government intends to award a sole source modification to Electronics Warfare Associates, Inc. (EWA) 13873 Park Center Road, Herndon, VA 20171 in the amount of $2,700,000 (est.) to NAWCTSD Contract N61339-01-C-0002. The purpose of this modification is to design, develop, integrate and test a mission rehearsal training subsystem (MRT). The primary focus of the MRT is to integrate the new Mission Support System (MSS) (TSQ-142) with weapons systems trainer, 2F178 now under development. To simulate real world mission pre-flight planning and programming the 2F178 operating system utilizes actual Tactical EA-6B Mission Support System (TEAMS) tapes. The proposed MRT solution will act as a conduit allowing the 2F178 with TEAMS to be integrated/communicate with MSS via laptop type computer. This communication will provide off site mission planning and debriefing. The 2F178 operating system and MSS are both under development and final configuration has yet to be determined. Development of the MRT requires in-house knowledge of the 2F178 operating system and associated proprietary software code.
