Description
Hazardous, Toxic and Radioactive Waste (HTRW) removal/remedial activities that include construction work and related environmental services for the Formerly Utilized Sites Remedial Action Program (FUSRAP), or other HTRW projects managed by the St. Louis Di strict, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. FUSRAP sites contain low-level radioactive contaminated materials from the processing of uranium for the Manhattan Engineer District and the Atomic Energy Commission. St. Louis FUSRAP sites are located in the metropo litan St. Louis area with the majority of the anticipated locations in north St. Louis County in the vicinity of Lambert-St. Louis International Airport. The Government may, at its discretion, request the Contractor to perform work at sites outside the me tropolitan St. Louis area. Additional general St. Louis FUSRAP project information is available on the District's website: www.mvs.usace.army.mil. This is to be an Indefinite Delivery Type Contract for a one-year base period (to commence upon contract award) with four one-year options, for a total acquisition value not to exceed $13,000,000. Work will be issued by individual task orders. No Task Order limit exists except for the total acquisition value. Task Orders issued under this contract may be c ost-plus-fixed fee or fixed price, on a case-by-case basis. Both technical and cost proposals will be required for evaluation. Evaluation and award of the solicitation will be based on the evaluation criteria stated in the Request for Proposal. For exam ple, the significant evaluation factors may include but are not limited to Technical Expertise, Experience, Personnel and Past Performance with an emphasis related to low-level radioactive contaminated material work. The selection will be determined throu gh the best value process. This solicitation does not supersede contracts previously awarded for similar work by other Corps Districts. See Note 1. North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code 562910 applies. To qualify as a small busine ss concern under this solicitation, the size standard is a concern having 500 or fewer employees. The solicitation will be available on the web page listed below on or about November 15, 2001, with proposals being due on or about January 7, 2002.
