- Description
- The Internal Revenue Service intends to issue an IDIQ contract for Nationwide Warehouse and Support Services. This is not a request for proposals. No solicitation is available. However, the IRS anticipates release of the solicitation on or about August 31, 2001. The North American Industry Classification System codes are 493110, 484210, 484110, 484121, and 484122. The small business size standard is $18.5 million. The anticipated contract will be for storage of IRS property in the contractor's facility; transportation of IRS property including delivery and pickup of property, including systems furniture services including design and layout, assembly, set-up and disassembly; on-site property and furniture moving and set-up at IRS facilities; warehouse support including retrieval of property, disposal of excess IRS property, showing of furniture to potential buyers, maintaining a database of IRS property contained in the contractor's warehouse; providing training to IRS personnel in the use of the database, etc. The contract will require the capability to provide nationwide transportation of IRS property between the contractor's warehouse and IRS facilities, and between IRS facilities, within the contiguous United States. The contract requires the consolidation of approximately 130,000 cubic feet of IRS property currently held in two warehouses into one warehouse preferably located in the central United States. One of the two warehouses is in San Pedro, CA, and the second is in Paramus, NJ. This acquisition will be conducted on an unrestricted basis. The IRS strongly encourages small disadvantaged business participation. Price evaluation preferences authorized by the Federal Acquisition Regulation will be applied to proposals submitted by small disadvantaged businesses. The Contracting Officer will not respond to verbal requests for the solicitation via telephone. The contract resulting from TIRNO-01-R-00033 will be subject to the Service Contract Act and the place of performance is unknown. A wage determination has been requested for Paramus, NJ. The contracting officer will request wage determinations for additional localities if asked to do so in writing by October 5, 2001 at 4:00 PM.
