Description: This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotes are bein g requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The government intends to award a sole-source contract for Hobart equipment. The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center at White Sands Missile Range, NM, has a requirement for 2 each Generato r 28.5 VDC, 4 BT3.9 Diesel, 5th wheel trailer/cable. The Hobart Company produced Jet-Ex 5D is currently the only power unit available that meets the requirements of both the UH-1 and OH-58 aircraft with R&D test platforms installed. Clause 52.212-4, Cont ract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items applies to this acquisition and there is no addendum to this clause. Clause 52.212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, 52.222-26 Equal Opportunity, Clause 52.222-35 Affirmative Action for Special Disabled and Vietnam ERA Veterans, Clause 52.222-36 Affirmative Action for Handicapped Workers. Interested vendors must provide documentation to show that they are providing same brand name or equal equipme nt, as well as technical data on its firm s capabilities. All responses to this synopsis must be submitted by close of business 27, Sep 01 in order to be considered by the Government.
