- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared IAW the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Oral quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This is a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 97-27 and DFARs Change Notice (DCN) 20001213. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) code is 3910. Small business size standard is 500. NAICS is 333922. This acquisition is for Brand Name or equal items and is a 100% small business set aside. Simplified Acquisition Procedures (The award will be less than $100,000) will be followed. This Brand Name or equal purchase will be for a total of One (1) each Allegheny Special Conveyor System, One (1) each Conveyor Pit Plate Kit and One (1) each Installation of Conveyor System. Salient characteristics for the One (1) Allegheny Special Conveyor System follows: Baler Feed Chain Belt Conveyor with Rubber Belt, Heavy Duty Open Frame Conveyor with 10' load section, 27' incline 33' length center-to-center, 40 FPM conveyor speed, 24" high 10 gauge mild steel sidewalls (meets or exceeds). Belt: Composed of 225 P. I. W. two-ply rubber, 48 inches wide 4 inch cleats 4" X 4" angle iron, 48 inches on center. Chain: 6" pitch roller chain, 4-inch high 1/4" metal sidewalls 3-inch rollers (single flange rollers [all heat-treated]). Includes solenoid controlled automatic chain oilers ?? x 2? side bars with pins 3/4 inch bushing bore, bushings. Sprockets: 6 tooth, 12" pitch diameter for 6" pitch roller chain, keyed and set screwed. SPECIAL FEATURES: 3-7/l 6" head shaft with SCM pillow block bearings.=20 2 15/16" tail shaft with enclosed screw type take-up assembly. One floating captured sprocket. Shear pin type driven sprocket with 140-drive chain. Includes all necessary guards. Frame fabricated of structural channel and angle iron.=20 3" H-Beam mid-deck impact rail. Belt contains 4" channel under side cross supports. Belt travels along on a ?" x 2" wear bar attached to a 3" x 3" x 3/8" angle on load and return side of conveyor. Unit primed with red oxide primer and one (1) finished coat of industrial enamel (color is County's choice. May require paint sample to match color of existing equipment). All guarding primed and painted safety yellow. All interested parties who believe they can meet this requirement are invited to submit in writing complete information describing their ability to provide the One (1) each Allegheny Special Conveyor System, One (1) each Conveyor Pit Plate Kit and One (1) each Installation of Conveyor System. Such information should include cost proposal information for providing the One (1) each Allegheny Special Conveyor System, One (1) each Conveyor Pit Plate Kit and One (1) Installation of Conveyor System and the cost of shipping. FOB Destination is the Government preferred method of shipping. EAFB is requesting the Allegheny Brand Name purchase to reduce potential complications with existing equipment and the need to purchase additional spare parts. Allegheny equipment is currently utilized in the Landfill for Civil Engineering. As such, the requested Allegheny equipment is compatible with the Allegheny Conveyor system currently utilized by Civil Engineering. Offerors are required to submit with their quote enough information for the Government to evaluate the minimum requirements required in this synopsis.
