This ia Modification No. 2 to the synopsis entitled STANDARD FIBER OPTIC CABLE, 131,232 FT. (40KM); AND DIRECT BURIAL OPTIC CABLE, 72,178 FT. (22KM), PER SPEC. 79K31863 "SPEC FOR A SINGLE MODE FIBER CABLE" REF. PR 1074-4040 which was posted on August 30, 2001, with Modification No. 1 published on, September 26, 2001. You are notified that the following changes are made: (a) The number of the published spec. is wrong. It should be changed from 79K31555 to 79K31863; and the last paragraph of the synopsis published on September 26, 2001, should be ignored. RFQ should be submitted on SF 1449 as indicated in Modification No. 1 which was published on September 26, 2001. Specs. can be viewed at the URL stated in the Mod. No. 1. The due date for receipt of quotes is not changed. Remains Wednesday, October 10, 2001
