Y -- N/ANOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION QUALITY MANAGEMENT SERVICES TO COMPLETE ON GOING PROJECT AT NIH. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) through a Interagency Agreement with National Institutes of Health (NIH) intends to award a contract to Jacobs Facilities Inc, (JFI) in Arlington Virginia for Construction Quality Management services, on a sole source basis. The purpose of this award is to provide continuous, uninterrupted services as a bridge between the expiring contract and the new sole source award. JFI is currently providing these services under a NIH contract that will expire November 2001. The statutory authority for other than full and open competition is 41 USC 253 (c) (1), Only One Responsible Source. See Note 22.
