Description

This is a request for solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through the Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. The solicitaion is for a non-personal service contract for (1) one Nation of Islam Instructor at the Federal Correctional Complex, Victorville, California. The contractor must be an ordained minister by the Nation of Islam and have the endorsement within the muslim faith tradition. This is a contractual agreement and not an appointment. The service does not constitute an employer/employee relationship. The tentative schedule will be twice every other week, on Fridays. A session consist of 90 minutes per session for a total of 6 session per fiscal year. This is an option year contract which consist of (1)one base year and (4) four option years. The time period is tentatively from date of award through September 30, 2002 for the base year with the option years to follow. A complete security background check will be conducted prior to award of contract. A complete job description is outlined in the solicitation. The government will award the contract to the responsible offerer, which is most advantageous to the government.
