Description
Small business sources sought for FSG 85, paper towels. Small business dealer must provide products from small domestic manufacturers. Item Purchase Description is attached. Interested parties please respond via email to shirley.burbage@gsa.gov. NO REQUIREMENTS AT THIS TIME. A solicitation will issue in the futrue. ****************************************************************** NSN 8540-01-169-9010 NFES 0240 TOWEL, PAPER (ROLLED): Shall meet the following requirements: Kitchen-type rolled paper towel, 2-ply, perforated sheets Color -- white (Colored patterns with a white background are permitted, Natural or tan colored towels are not acceptable) Sheet Size -- 11" X 9" (? 1 inch) Sheets per roll -- 80 to 120 Core -- full width paperboard tube, 1-1/2" diameter (? 1/4") Packaged quantity -- 30 rolls per box The towels shall be 100% paper with 40 to 100% recovered fiber and a minimum of 40% post-consumer recovered materials as specified by the EPA Guidelines For Federal Procurement of Paper and Paper Products Containing Recovered Materials (40 CFR 247) and the EPA Paper Products Recovered Materials Advisory Notice (Federal Register, Vol. 61, No. 104, May 29, 1996). The towels provided shall meet the requirements of this description, shall conform to the producer's own drawings, specifications, and standards, and quality assurance practices, and shall be the same product offered for sale on the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. PACKAGING: The towels shall be rolled on a paperboard core tube, each roll shall be wrapped in plastic. PACKING: Thirty (30) packaged rolls shall be packed in a close-fitting corrugated fiberboard box, minimum burst strength 125 psi (minimum edge crush strength 23 lb per inch width). The pack shall be in compliance with the applicable freight regulations. SPECIAL MARKING: The National Fire Equipment System (NFES) number appearing below the National Stock Number (NSN) of this Item Purchase Description shall be marked on the shipping container below the NSN. The NFES number shall be preceded by "NFES". MARKING: Shipments to GSA and other civilian agencies shall be marked in accordance with FED-STD-123. In addition, the UPC code shall be marked on all shipping containers and shall remain clearly legible. NIB/NISH/FPI suppliers shall be exempt from UPC code requirements. Shipments to the Department of Defense (DOD) shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. PALLETIZATION: The shipping containers shall be palletized. The pallets shall be 48-inch length x 40-inch width, general purpose, four-way entry, flush stringer, double face non-reversible pallets. The palletized load shall not exceed 2500 pounds in weight. The palletized load shall not overhang the pallet and shall not exceed 53 inches in overall height. Less than half pallet loads or loads shipped by small package carrier need not be palletized. NOTICE: All lumber used inside or outside a shipment shall be BARK FREE. UNITIZATION OF PALLET LOAD: The palletized load shall be unitized and secured to the pallet to insure that the load arrives intact to the ordering activity.
