The Combat Support Systems Program Office of the Armament Product Support Group, Air Armament Center, is seeking information from firms interested in designing, producing and logistically supporting the new Universal Munitions Trailer. This synopsis constitutes market research to determine industry capability and availability to develop a new Universal Munitions trailer to replace the existing MHU 141 and MHU 110 munitions trailer. This will be a trailer with a weight capacity between 10,000-12,000 lbs. and weigh 3,000-3,500 lbs. The size of the trailer will be between 150?-170? in length, 87?-89? wide, and 30? in height. This trailer will be used to transport Air to Air and Air to Ground munitions. It will have commercial wiring for lights and brakes systems. The MHU 141 and MHU 110 Product Description, containing detailed performance characteristics, is available for review on the AAC Contracting Electronic Bulletin Board under Air Force Material Command at www.eps.gov. The government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this RFI or otherwise pay for the information solicited. Firms capable of developing such a munitions trailer are requested to submit literature/brochures outlining the specifications/capabilities of this system to AAC/WMOK, Attn: Mr. Dennis Fields, Sr. Contracting Specialist, (see address below) within 30 days of the date of CBD paper publication of this announcement.
