- Description
- The Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Joint Warning and Reporting Network (JWARN) Program Office will host an Industry Day meeting on Tuesday, October 30 and Wednesday, October 31, 2001. The meeting will be held at the Holiday Inn Express, 17133 Dumfries Road, Dumfries, Virginia, 22026. JWARN is an automated NBC Information System that will integrate battlefield NBC detectors into existing C4ISR system networks. The mission is to provide a near real-time operational capability for Joint Forces to report, analyze and disseminate NBC agent detection, identification, location, and warning information. JWARN will also automate tasks required for battlespace management to enhance warfighter abilities to train for and react to NBC events. The JWARN Operational Requirements Document (ORD), Performance Specification (PS), Interface Requirements Specification (IRS) and a list of "Questions to Industry" can be found at http://www.marcorsyscom.usmc.mil/jwarn/index.asp. We invite industry to comment on all draft documents and forward any comments and/or questions to botkinlr@mcsc.usmc.mil. Draft documents will be periodically updated on this web page until formal release. The format for Industry Day will be JWARN overview briefings to Industry during the morning of day one. One-on-One informal, one (1) hour unclassified exchanges between contractor teams and the Government team will be scheduled for the afternoon of day one and throughout day two. Due to limited time, the meetings will be set up on a first-come-first-served basis. Participation is limited to no more than ten (10) industry representatives (prime and teammates) per meeting. Participation is not a prerequisite for responding to the upcoming release of the RFP. RSVP for Industry Day participation and request an appointment for a one-on-one session by email no later than 22 October 2001 to botkinlr@mcsc.usmc.mil. It is the Government's intent to encourage exchanges of information to improve understanding of Government requirements and increase efficiency in proposal preparation, and thereby enhance the Government's ability to obtain quality supplies and services at reasonable prices. The Government is under no obligation to award any related contract associated with this event. Vondors are responsible for monitoring the website for any updates, individual email notification will not be provided at this time.
