Description

A -- Beginning October 30, 2001, proposals are sought from small business firms for participation in the FY 2002 NOAA SBIR program. The SBIR program implements the "Small Business Innovation Research Program Reauthorization Act of 2000." The purpose of Phase 1 of the program is to conduct feasibility research or research and development (R&D) to determine the scientific or technical merit/feasibility of concepts/ideas as a prerequisite to further NOAA support under Phase 2. Individuals receiving awards under Phase 1 will be eligible to compete for Phase 2 contracts. The following are NOAA research topics available for Phase 1: Atmospheric Sciences; Ocean Observation Systems; Living Marine Resources; Ocean Science; and Cartography, Photogrammetry, Hydrology, and Geodesy.
