Description

The VA Medical Center, Leeds, MA is seeking the services of a professional Fire Protection Engineering firm for Project 631-2001-101, Fire and Safety IV. This firm should be regularly employed in the Fire Protection field and has experience with the Life Safety Code (NFPA 101) and other National Fire Codes as they relate to hospital buildings including preparing the JCAHO Statement of Conditions, designing solutions to fire protection problems, preparing requests to the JCAHO for equivalencies to code requirements. Specifically, work in this project includes correction of fire safety deficiencies identified in our SOC. Design team will require the services of an IH to identify and determine if asbestos is present in areas of proposed work and to develop specifications for its removal of alternate means of abatement.Estimated Construction Cost $400,000. Solicitation will be available approximately 10/17/01.
