- 17. TITLE: ACQUISITION OF DIESEL SUBMARINES BY TAIWAN. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to notify industry that the U.S. Navy will be hosting an invitation only conference involving the acquisition of diesel submarines for Taiwan. The conference attendees will be limited to invitees only. The invitees are limited to (1) those domestic and foreign firms with demonstrated capabilities in ship design and ship construction, and (2) U.S. suppliers of combat weapon systems.
