Description

The following supplemental information is provided regarding the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division?s (NAWCAD) requirement for Engineering and Technical services in support of NAWCAD Test and Evaluation Department (AIR-4.11)(N00421-01-R-0179), which was posted in CBDNET and FEDBIZOPPS on 4 September 2001: The three-tiered reserve acquisition strategy previously mentioned has been revised to include a fourth tier for Small Disadvantaged Business, Women-owned, HUBZONE, and Veteran-Owned, businesses. The new reserve system is structured as follows: This solicitation is being issued on an unrestricted basis. However, the Government will make contract award using a four-tiered reserve system. The first tier will be comprised of 8(a) companies, the second tier will be consist of Small Disadvantaged/Women-owned/HUBZone/Veteran-Owned Businesses, the third tier will be made up of small business companies, and the fourth tier will consider full and open competition. As stated previously, the Navy intends to release the Request for Proposal (RFP) via the Internet. The solicitation will be made available only over the Internet in Word format at the following address: http://www.navair.navy.mil/business/ecommerce. Note that due to unforeseen circumstances, the original release date of 20 September 2001 has been indefinitely delayed. Offerors who have requested an electronic copy of the RFP will be notified via email when it is released.
