Description

The U.S. Department of Energy intends to issue a competitive solicitation, set-aside for small business concerns, for technical, analytical, and administrative support for the Office of National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) Policy and Compliance within the Office of Environment, Safety and Health on or about October 19, 2001. The North American Classification System (NAICS) code is 541620 with a size standard of $5 million. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, facilities, materials and technical expertise to perform tasks in support of the the Department's compliance with NEPA and related environmental reviews. These tasks address a wide range of Departmental activities such as but not limited to: nuclear and non-nuclear waste management, environmental restoration, civilian radioactive waste management, construction and operation of accelerators, construction and operation of new laboratory facilities, nuclear energy projects, fissile materials disposition, energy efficiency and renewable energy, oil and gas projects, major power line construction, hydropower projects, certain power marketing actions, defense programs, nonproliferation projects, and clean coal technology. The solicitation will be posted on DOE's Industry Interactive Procurement System (IIPS) website. Interested firms should check the IIPS website at the address below to obtain the actual release date. Copies of the solicitation and amendments will be available by registering and then downloading from the IIPS site, located at http://e-center.doe.gov The solicitation will only be available in IIPS, there will be no hard copies of the solicitation made available.
