Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Forest Service, Rhinelander, Wisconsin intends to acquire Security Guard Services at the Forestry Sciences Laboratory/Hugo Sauer Nursery, Rhinelander, WI. and the Face Project at the Harshaw Farm, Harshaw, WI. for the period of 11/01/2001 thru 10/31/2002. Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: perform physical patrols, check all exterior doors to ensure doors are locked, walk through all buildings on main complex, drive through nursery ? make sure all gates are secure and all nursery buildings are secure (doors, windows closed, lights out, etc.), supply daily logs to specifications requested, surveillance at Harshaw ? 11 mile trip one way, 3-5 trips per week (on random basis). Hours of coverage are 10:00 PM. To 6:00 AM, 7 days a week, including holidays for one year. References requested. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number NC-02-01 is issued as a request for quotation and incorporates provisions and clauses that are in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. Note that FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items, Far 52.252-2, Clauses incorporated by Reference, FAR 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, and FAR 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders-Commercial Items applies to this solicitation. This is a small business set-aside procurement and will follow simplified acquisition procedures in FAR Part 13. NAICS is 561612, small business size standard is $9M.
