Description

The intent of this solicitation is to obtain maintenance, repair, and alteration services at the Westover Air Reserve Base located in Chicopee, Massachusetts for the Military Family Housing Quarters (279 units -- 124 occupied) and the Military Family Housing Office (building 4900) by means of a combination firm fixed price/indefinite quantity contract. This solicitation will be issued for a base period and four 12-month option periods to be exercised if in the best interests of the Government without further notice. The solicitation will be issued unrestricted subject to FAR clause 52.219-4, Notice of Price Evaluation Preference for Hubzone Small Business Concerns. FAR Clause 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services will be included in this solicitation. The NAICS (SIC)is 23599 Special Trade Contractors, NEC with a small business size standard of $11.5 million. This Invitation for Bid (IFB) package will be available at no cost on the NAVFAC Electronic Solicitation Internet Website. All prospective offerors should register for this project at: www.esol.navfac.navy.mil. You may view the site without an account, but will not be able to register for a solicitation unless an account is established. When the IFB package becomes available, you will be notified by e-mail and may download the IFB package from the Internet. The "Issue Date" and "Bid/Due Date" stated in this notice are approximate dates. An official Planholders List will be maintained on-line and can be printed from the web site. The Planholders List will not be faxed. Recording companies and Blueprint companies are also required to register. Notification of any changes to this solicitation (Amendments) shall be made only on the Internet. Per the Debt Collection Improvement Act of 1996, the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) has been amended to require all contractors to register in the Department of Defense (DOD) Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database. Failure to register in the CCR may render an offeror ineligible for award of DOD contracts. Information regarding this registration may be obtained by accessing web site www.ccr2000.com or by referring to DFARS Subpart 204.73.
