Description

Background "The Operational Contracting Branch (ASC/PKWOSB) of the Aeronautical Systems Center will issue a solicitation on or about 10 Oct 01 for nonpersonal services to plan, organize and conduct a research program involving the experiments and micromechanical analyses for fretting fatigue and related damage mechanism issues of titanium alloys when subjected to high cycle fatigue using mechanical tests and destructive and non-destructive techniques. Period of Performance is 01 Nov 01 through 31 Oct 02. SIC: 8731, NAICS: 541710, Size Standard: 500. This acquisition is sole source procurement to Dr. Shantanu A. Namjoshi. The Request for Quote (RFQ), Represenations and Certifications, and the Statement of Work will be posted on the ASC Pre-Award Information Exchange System (PIXS) at Wright-Patterson AFB OH (http://www.pixs.wpafb.af.mil/). NO HARD COPIES WILL BE SENT. All responsible sources may submit a proposal and shall be considered. Facsimile or alternate proposals are not acceptable.
