Fort Belvoir Wednesday, December 12, 2001 SOSA Community Center, Ballroom Fort Belvoir, Virginia Fort Belvoir is home to two Army major command headquarters and elements of 10 others; 19 different agencies of the Department of the Army; 8 elements of the U.S. Army Reserve and the Army National Guard; and 26 DoD agencies. Also located at Belvoir is a Marine Corps detachment, a U.S. Air Force activity and an agency from the Department of the Treasury. No other Army installation in the world can compare to Ft. Belvoir and its singular mission to provide both logistical and administrative support such a diverse mix of tenant and satellite organizations. Fort Belvoir exists to operate and maintain their installations, provide quality installation support and services to their customers, and execute mobilization requirements, military operations, and contigency/force protections missions.
