Description

Provide all labor, material, equipment, transportation, and supervisi on required to repair admin building HVAC system at the U.S. Coast Guard Ba se Detroit, Detroit, MI. Anticipated work will entail the following: Replac e all variable air volume (VAV) boxes and connected thermostats and wiring. Provide controls and ductwork for existing air handling systems. Provide n ew rooftop HVAC unit, exhaust fan, related piping and ductwork, and partiti ons for refrigerated cases in NAFA Exchange. Reroute ductwork and air distr ibution to accommodate partitions built after original construction. Provid e valves, controls, fin tube units, and specialties for the heating hot wat er system. Perform air and water balancing. Remove and replace domestic wat er heater. Provide electrical wiring and devices to operate all new or repl acement equipment. Period of performance will be 122 days after Notice to P roceed for Submittals, however, to perform the heating work of this project , the heating water piping system will need to be drained, leaving the buil ding without any provisions for space heating. For this reason, do not per form this part of the work during the period from November 1 through March 31. To perform the cooling work of this project, parts of the cooling syst em will need to be disabled, leaving those portions of the building without any provisions for space cooling. For this reason, do not perform this pa rt of the work during the period from June 1 through August 31.
