Description
17. This is AMENDMENT 0002 to RFP USZA23-02-R-0002. This amendment is issued to provide responses to questions received from potential offerors concerning the specifications/requirements of this solicitation. (1) Reference paragraph 2.5. Hard Disk Drive (HDD): Is Seagate mandatory or can hard drives meeting the 10,000 rpm specifications be substituted? Answer: The Seagate is mandatory. The specified HDD is required for configuration management reasons. (2) Reference paragraph 2.13. Operating System: Is it the intent of the Government for the Contractor to install the operating system? Will the Government provide the operating system from the USSOCOM Enterprise License Agreement with Microsoft for the Contractor to install? Answer: It is the Contractor's responsibility to install the operating system as specified in the Specifications. However, because of the existing USSOCOM Enterprise License Agreement, the Government does not require a license agreement to be included under this contract. (3) Reference paragraph 4. Floppy Drive: Please confirm that the LS120 floppy drive has been discontinued. Answer: This is correct. The reference to the LS120 is hereby deleted. A 1.44MB Floppy Disk Drive is required as stated in paragraph 2.6. (4) Reference paragraph 5. Motherboard: Can the VIA chipset be substituted with the Intel 860 Chipset? Answer: No. The VIA chipset is required as specified. (5) Can you clarify as to whether you need a "desktop case" or a "full tower case"? Answer: A full tower case is required, as specified. (6) Do you want asset tagging and barcoding included? Answer: Yes (7) Do you want the six spare hard drives to be shipped as secured drives? Answer: The spare HDDs shall be in the same configuration as the primary HDDs. Offerors are reminded that FACSIMILE PROPOSALS AND ELECTRONIC PROPOSALS ARE NOT AUTHORIZED AND WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR AWARD. Proposals shall be submitted in accordance with instructions contained in the original solicitation and shall contain all information, representations and certifications identified. Failure to comply with all requirements of the solicitation may result in an offeror being eliminated from consideration for award. Proposals (4 copies) shall be submitted no later than 4:30 p.m. Eastern time, 18 October 2001, to the Integrated Aviation Systems 21 Working Group, Attn: AMSAM-TASO-I (H. Fowler/RFP USZA23-02-R-0002), Lee Blvd., Bldg. 401, Ft. Eustis, VA 23604-5577.
