Description

NASA/GRC plans to issue an IFB for modifications to the fire alarm and sprinkler systems in portions of the Engineering Research Building complex at Glenn Research Center. There are 2 phases of this construction project, and this IFB is for Phase 1 only. The estimated order of magnitude for this procurement is between $500,000 and $1,000,000 and the effort shall be completed within 270 calendar days after notice to proceed. This procurement is a total small business set-aside. See Note 1. The NAICS Code and small business size standard for this procurement are 235110 and $11.5 million, respectively. The anticipated release date of the IFB is on or about November 1, 2001 with an anticipated offer closing date of on or about December 1, 2001. The firm date for receipt of bids or offers will be stated in the IFB. Drawings will be available from City Blue, 1937 Prospect Ave., Cleveland, OH (216-241-7344). All QUALIFIED responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been appointed -- See NASA Specific Note "B". The solicitation and other documents with the exception of the drawings related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will be in Microsoft Office 97 format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application.
