Description

Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Naval Shipyard Annex proposes to contract for 1,000 Rolling Toolboxes, 100 custom Racks with lockers for the toolboxes, and 1,000 sets of 3 padlocks; and various spare parts. The items are to be manufactured in accordance with Norfolk Naval Shipyard drawings and specifications to be set forth in the solicitation. Within 45 days after award of contract the contractor shall furnish a prototype toolbox and rack for inspection as a pre-production sample. Upon approval of preproduction sample contractor shall deliver the first 80 production toolboxes and 8 production toolbox racks within 45 days; 80 production toolboxes and 8 production toolbox racks within the next 30 days and continue to deliver 80 toolboxes and 8 toolbox racks every 30 days until contract delivery is complete with the last delivery to consist of 40 production toolboxes and 4 production toolbox racks. A Firm Fixed Price contract is anticipated and shall be awarded on a FOB: Destination basis with delivery to Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Closing date for receipt of offers will be specified in the solicitation when issued.
