NSN: 9330-01-358-7521 PLASTIC SHEET: Plain plastic sheet (no adhesive backing), with polished finish. Shall be in accordance with the following characteristics: Unit of issue ? Package of 20 sheets. Dimensions. Length 50 ? 1/16 inch, width 20 ? 1/16 inch, thickness 0.030 +0.003, -0.002 inch. Adjacent edges of sheets shall intersect at an angle of 90 ? 2?. Composition. Extruded plastic sheet consisting of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) or glycol-modified polyethylene terephthalate (PETG) in conformance with the following table of physical properties. Plastic sheets shall have a polished finish on both sides. Workmanship. The plastic sheet shall be free from ragged edges, die lines, cracks, holes, pits, gel marks, blisters, discoloration, and other defects which would affect the appearance and serviceability of the item. The material shall be uniform in color, transparency or opacity, finish, density, and other physical properties. The terms cited in this paragraph shall be as defined in ASTM D 883. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE: The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this Item Purchase Description, conform to the producer's own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. UNIT PACKAGING: Twenty (20) sheets shall be interleaved with paper, overwrapped with at least one layer of kraft paper, and sealed with tape. The packaged sheets shall be packed in a close-fitting corrugated fiberboard box, minimum bursting strength 200 psi (minimum edge crush strength 32 lb per inch width). PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY: The item(s) shall be packaged and packed to afford adequate protection against physical damage during shipment from the supplier to the first receiving activity. The pack shall comply with the rules and regulations applicable to the selected mode of transportation. The package shall be the same as that normally provided by the supplier. In the event a pallet or skid is used for shipping, the following notice shall apply: NOTICE: All lumber used inside or outside a shipment shall be BARK FREE. MARKING: Unit and intermediate packages shall include normal commercial marking. The shipping container shall be marked with the National Stock Number (NSN) and the requisition number in addition to any normal commercial markings present.
