Description

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for photographic support for Visual Arts including official Federal Government Photographic Standard Services for products relating to official Government passports, portraits, studio photography, location photography and printing production. The Contractor shall use Government issued cameras, lenses, printers, computers, mounters, light meters, flash units, lighting devices, films and other miscellaneous small equipment. The Contractor shall provide Display Production Support services consisting of printing large format Inkjet prints and the finishing processes of laminating, mounting and backing. Digital imaging and electronic scanning of originals (hardcopy, slides, etc.) and electronic manipulation of images with Adobe PhotoShop. The work shall be performed in the Visual Art's offices, on location at the Gaithersburg NIST site and possibly at local metro area Government functions. The tour shall be a minimum of 48 hours (and possibly up to 64 hours) each Pay Period (two weeks) and would include three pre-scheduled 8 hour work days each week with Monday 8:30 -- 5:00 p.m., Wednesday 8:30 -- 5:00 p.m., and Friday 8:30 -- 5:00 p.m. preferred. All work shall be performed in a professional manner and meet or exceed industry and/or Government standards of performance. The NAICS Code is 54192 and the size standard is 5 million. The period of performance is one-year beginning January 1, 2002 through December 31, 2002. There are also four additional one-year option periods for similar services. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. The competitive solicitation, solicitation amendments, and all questions and answers related to this procurement shall be made available via the Internet at http://www.fedbizops.gov. The solicitation, SB134102R0004, is anticipated for release to the vendor community on or about November 1, 2001 and will only be available via the Internet at the above web site. Potential offerors are responsible for accessing the web site. Interested parties must respond to the solicitation in order to be considered for award of any resultant contract. There is no written solicitation document available, telephone requests will not be honored and no bidders lists will be maintained.
