Description

The proposed acquisition is for engineering and technical services in the areas of naval submarine and surface ship survivability and underwater explosion (UNDEX) response. The task areas are as follows: Task Area A -- Engineering Analysis; Task Area B -- Ship and Component Survivability Assessment; Task Area C -- Test Support Engineering; and Task Area D -- Instrumentation Services. The Government may make multiple awards under this solicitation. The Government intends to issue Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity, Cost Plus Fixed Fee (completion) contract(s). The anticipated period of performance shall be from the effective date of the contract(s) through five years thereafter. The total contract(s) effort is estimated to require approximately 33,900 person hours of effort over the five-year period of performance. The solicitation should be released on or about 19 November 2001 with a closing date for receipt of proposals 45 days thereafter.
