Description

ENGINE, DIESEL. NSN: 2815-01-471-4411. IQC01282000001. IAW (2X179) P/N A000000340. INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE AT ORIGIN. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. This solicitation is an RFP or IFB and will be available on the Internet at http://dibbs.dscccols.com/Rfp on its issue date of 08 Nov 01. Hard copies of this solicitation are not available. Specifications, plans or drawings are not available. The proposed procurement contains an option to extend the contract period one or more times at the discretion of the government. The total duration (base plus option years) shall not exceed 5 years. This is an unrestricted acquisition. While price may be a significant factor in the evaluation of offers, the final award decision will be based upon a combination of price, delivery, past performance and other evaluation factors as described in the solicitation. Items will be shipped to various zones within conus. All responsible sources may submit a proposal in response to subject Request For Proposal (RFP) which shall be considered by the agency.
