- Description
- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 02Q0002 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This action is a 100% small business set-aside. The NAICS code is 421690 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. The U.S. Secret Service (USSS) has a requirement for 1,250 surveillance kits. Description of item: two-wire palm microphone and earpiece security kit, beige in color, with Hirose circular connector to be used in Motorola Saber and XTS-3000 radios with Motorola adapter. Also includes clear audio coiled tube with ear tip. The contractor shall deliver the complete quantity FOB Destination with all freight included in the delivered price. Delivery will be made to: U.S. Secret Service, Radio Communications Branch, Washington Navy Yard, 245 Murray Drive, SW Building 410, Washington, DC 20223, Attn: Lloyd Lewis. The complete quantity to be delivered within 30 days after receipt of award. The following FAR Provisions and Clauses are applicable unless otherwise noted: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items; 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items; Paragraph (a) insert: "award will be based on the technically acceptable low offer." ; 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications- Commercial; 52-212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions- Commercial Items; and 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders- Commercial Items. These FAR Provisions and Clauses may be accessed via the world wide web at: http://www.arnet.gov/far/. Telephone requests for copies of FAR Provisions and/or Clauses will not be accepted. A signed copy of the Representations and Certifications shall be included with offeror's quotation. The Government intends to award a purchase order to the responsible small business offeror whose quotation, conforming to the specifications, will be the most advantageous to the Government. Award is anticipated within five days of receipt of quotations. All responsible offerors may fax quotations to (202) 406-6801, Attn: Christina Small; to be received no later than Friday, October 26, 2001, 4:00 p.m. (EST).
