Description

The FHWA intends to negotiate a 60-month sole source cooperative agreement with the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP), a non-profit organization. IACP will perform the following tasks: Maintain and expand th e nationwide clearinghouse of technological solutions on traffic management, data collection, motor carrier enforcem ent, and other highway safety related programs; promote the use of technology in data collection, traffic management , and intelligent transportation initiatives through the annual Chiefs Challenge highway safety competition; and est ablish a cooperative environment between the FHWA and the law enforcment professionals in their membership to develo p and disseminate critical incident guidance on traffic safety. The IACP is the only known source possessing the uni que knowledge, experience and expertise to fulfill this requirement. SEE Note 22. NAICS CODE: 813920
