Description

The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD has a requirement to obtain services to tear down, test, and inspect (TTI) and repair and return (R&R) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) components applicable to the Light Armored Vehic le (LAV) components. These services are in support of the Saudi Arabian National Guard (SANG). SANG currently owns 1,117 each LAV s and is in the process of purchasing additional vehicles. Other vehicle/weapon system components may be added in the futur e, such as those for LAV Mortars and LAV Assault Guns. Components will be repaired to Original Equipment Manufacturer s (OEM standards. A cost-plus-fixed-fee type of contract is anticipated. The period of performance will start date of award through one year with two one-year option periods. A solicitation will be posted to the following website on or about 13 November 2001: http://abop.monmouth.army.mil. The estimated solicitation closing date is 13 December 2001.
