SOURCES SOUGHT. THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT ONLY -- Solicitations are not available at this time. Request for a solicitation will not receive a response. This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. The Bureau of Prisons has a future requirement for natural gas service at a proposed Federal Correctional Institution located on the Durham-Granville County line approximately one mile northwest of Butner, North Carolina. The facility will house approximately 1,500 inmates, warehouse space, ancillary buildings, and other generic institutional elements. The contractor will provide firm and interruptible natural gas services, including transmission and distribution. The contractor will be responsible for providing and coordinating all services required to deliver firm/interruptible natural gas services to the designated service point. Any resultant contract will have a performance period of a minimum of one year and maximum of ten years duration. The anticipated contract is a ten-year, firm-fixed-price with economic adjustments. A government proposal to provide these services is being developed and a contract may or may not result. Market research is being conducted to determine interest and capability of potential sources for this requirement. Do not submit capability statements. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary; the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The Market Survey Questionnaire will be available on/about November 30, 2001.
