Description

The announcement originally published in the CBD on 22 June 1999, and amended 5 February 2001 is hereby further amended to read as follows: The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to procure the AN/SPQ-14(V) Advanced Sensor Distribution System (ASDS) from Frontier Electronic Systems Incorporated (FES), 4500 W. Sixth Street, P.O. Box 1023, Stillwater, OK 74076. The AN/SPQ-14(V) consists of the SB-4229A(V)/SP, SB-4229B(V)/SP Radar Switchboards, the CV-3989(V)/SP Data Converters, and auxiliary equipment; production and installation support, to include the installation and checkout (INCO) kits and technical advisory services; engineering, fabrication, and performance testing; and Reliability Program. AN/SPQ-14(V)/SP interfaces to Navy radars and ship navigational sensors. Sensor signals are converted and distributed digitally throughout the platform to various displays, consoles and computers via copper or fiber optics cables. FES is the only qualified producer of the AN/SPQ-14 system. This synopsis is for informational purposes only, for the benefit of potential subcontractors. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate only with the source identified herein.
