17. The U.S. Coast Guard has decided not to set aside this acquisition for HUBZone concerns, because no HUBZone certified business concerns complied with the requirements of the sources sought synopsis. The solicitation will be issued electronically on the FEDBIZOPPS web page on or about November 12, 2001 at http: www.eps.gov/. Please contact Mr. Jay Snyder at (757) 628-4642 or jsnyder@mlca.uscg.mil, for assistance using FEDBIZOPPS. Hard copies of the solicitation will be provided only upon request. Provide all labor, material, equipment and services necessary to perform dockside repairs including, but not limited to the following Base and Option Items: (1) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel and JP-5 Fuel Tanks, (2) Clean and Inspect Voids, (3) Clean and Inspect Sewage and Grey Water Collection and Holding Tanks, (4) Clean Ventilation Systems, (5) Perform Non-destructive Testing on Bulkhead, (6) Renew Doors Hatches, and Scuttles, (7) Renew Flight Deck Line-Up Lights, (8) Renew MDE and SSDG Exhaust Insulation and Lagging, (9) Overhaul Vaneaxial Fan/ Motor Assemblies, (10) Renew A/C Raw Water Piping, (11) Renew Galley Steam Kettle Piping, (12) Overhaul Hydraulic Pump Unit, Options include, but are not limited to the following items: (1) Composite Labor, (2) Renew Various Piping Insulation, (3) Preserve Main Mast, Vessel?s homeport is located at 600 8th Avenue SE, St Petersburg, Fl. All repairs are to be performed at the vessels home-pier. The vessel?s length is 210 foot, B Class Medium Endurance Cutter. The performance period is fifty-four (54) calendar days beginning on or about 25 February, 2002. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request [ten days from solicitation issuance].The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g.*.DWF, etc). Drawings are still available in hardcopy; however, a non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required in the form of a certified check or money order made payable to the U.S. Coast Guard for requested drawings. All other referenced documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, Virginia. Funds are available for this procurement. The proposed contract listed here is part of the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for subject requirements. Attention: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBE?s).
