- Description
- This is a Reliability and Safety Improvement requirement. The Basic requirement is for the production and installation of 3,069 Tail Rotor Abrasion Strips on the AH-64A and AH-64D aircraft. Additionally, it is requested that a range option for up to 1,300 Tail Rotor Abrasion Strips be included in the resultant contract in support of the AMCOM Integrated Materiel Management Center (IMMC) and a range option for the production and installation of up to 36 Tail Rotor Abrasion Strips for the AH-64A Trainers. This requirement is a sole source procurement with Composite Technology, Inc. (CTI), Grand Prairie, Texas for the production and installation of Abrasion Strips to the leading edge of AH-64 Apache Tail Rotor Blades. The total quantities are broken down as follows: First Article -- 1 each; AH-64D -- 2,004 each; AH-64A 964 each; AH-64D Training Device Suite 100 each; Option Spare Parts up to 1,300 each range quantity; Option AH-64A Trainers up to 36 each range quantity.
