Description

The Technical Support Working Group (TSWG), in collaboration with the Under Secretary of Defense, Acquisition, Technology and Logistics USD (AT&L), Arlington, VA, is soliciting concepts for innovative research and development projects. The areas of interest are: combating terrorism, location and defeat of hard or difficult targets, protracted operations in remote locations, and countermeasures to weapons of mass destruction. Under these areas of interest the intent is to identify technologies and approaches that provide near-term solutions while meeting general and specific requirements, as delineated in the Broad Agency Announcement (BAA). The BAA package and instructions will be available only from the website http://www.bids.tswg.gov. The BAA process constitutes a solicitation of concepts from those Offerors capable of satisfying the Government's needs. The Government encourages non-profit organizations, educational institutions, small businesses, small disadvantaged businesses, government laboratories, and HBCU/MI's, foreign contractors, as well as large businesses, to submit research concepts for consideration. The BAA selection process will be conducted in three (3) phases. The package describes the full process for submission and evaluation as well as specific requirements for the interest areas.
