Description

The Government intends to solicit an Invitation For Bid (IFB) and award a Firm Fixed Price contract for the following: 1. Repair and Rebuild Forty-Eight (48) Traveling Wave Tubes (TWT), originally manufactured by Communications and Power Industries (CPI) Inc., Part Number VTX-6389G3, NSN 5960-01-416-0474, IAW Drawing A3187821 and the requirements found in the Statement of Work (SOW), with four (4) 100% one (1) year options. 2. First Article Test/Inspection Report IAW the SOW. 3. First Article Qualifica tion Test Plan IAW SOW. 4. Status Report IAW SOW. 5. Report, Record of Meeting/Minutes IAW the SOW. The TWT are part of the AM-7498/G HPA. The TWT are used with the AN/FSC-78B and C, AN/GSC-39B, C and D, AN/GSC-52A, AN/TSC-86A, B, C, and D. This IFB will be open to large and small companies. Delivery of the 48 TWT will be four (4) each 120 days after receipt from the Government. The Department of Defense requires all contractors to be registered in the Central Contractor Register (CCR) to receive c ontract award or payment. The Government intends to release the IFB on or around 15 November 2001 on the U.S. Army Communications and Electronics Command (CECOM) Interagency Interactive Business Opportunities Page (IBOP) web-site (http://abop.monmouth.arm y.mil). All parties interested in doing business with CECOM are invited to access, operate, send and receive information from the IBOP. It is the offeror's responsibility to monitor this site for release of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments or information. A CD-ROM with associated drawings may be requested from the Contract Specialist in writing. Bids shall be submitted in hard copy at the time and place specified in the solicitation. The draft SOW and draft drawings can be found on the IB OP. See Note 26.
