Description

Brokerage and related services to obtain oil pollution insurance policy with satisfactory underwriters to insure MARAD and other named assureds. The resulting policy shall indemnify against all liability -- beyond the deductible and below a set ceiling amount -- that would arise from an oil spill pollution incident originating from any of 74 Ready Reserve Force and five schoolship vessels. The insurance policy shall also pay for clean up costs and remediation expenses, and reimburse other federal agencies for costs incurred relating to such oil spills. Services shall include, but not limited to, premium calculations, claims and clean up coordination -- as needed by MARAD with policy underwriters, ship managers, attorneys, contractors, and other parties.
