Description

The US Forest Service is soliciting bids for aerial ignition and fire suppresson helicopter services. Contractor will need to provide a type III helicopter, pilot, mechanics, and fuel truck to conduct aerial ignition using Premo Mark III (p ing pong ball dispenser) machines, provide observation/recon platforms and supply water drops for the control of wildfires a nd in support of prescribed fires. Work is anticipated to start on or about January 21, 2002. Contract time 120 days. Sol icitation will be available to the public on or about November 16, 2001.
