- DESC: This is combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information in this notice, and with Simplified Acquisition Procedures per FAR Part 13. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference Request for Quotation (RFQ) number 02SQ1U0030 in quotes submitted in response to this announcement. The RFQ incorporates revisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-27. This acquisition is set aside for small business. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for manufacturing is 332618, Other Fabricated Wire Product Manufacturing, and the small business size standard is 500 employees. The Yakima Field Office, Pacific Northwest Region, Bureau of Reclamation, has a fixed price requirement for furnishing and delivery of stainless steel woven wire screen mesh to be utilized for fish screens per the following: CLIN 001 twelve (12) each woven wire screen mesh, T304 stainless steel, 4 1/2 mesh by 0.105 diameter (12 gauge), clear span 0.117 inch, 72 inches (6 feet) wide by 540 inches (45) feet length; CLIN 002 three (3) each woven wire screen mesh, T304 stainless steel, 6 mesh by 0.080 diameter (14 gauge), 72 inches (6 feet) wide by 480 inches (40 feet) length; CLIN 003 two (2) each woven wire screen mesh, T304 stainless steel, 6 mesh by 0.080 diameter (14 gauge), 72 inches (6 feet) wide by 516 inches (43 feet) length. IF SHIPPED IN ROLLS THE SCREEN MESH MUST BE HAND ROLLED TO 3 FEET 6 INCHES INSIDE DIAMETER OR LARGER. SCREEN MESH SHALL NOT BE ROLLED IN A ROLLER AT ANY TIME. SCREEN MESH MUST LAY FLAT WHEN UNROLLED. SCREEN MESH WITH WAVES, BUBBLES, MISFIRES, OTHER DEFECTS, OR ANY DEVIATION FROM ROLL SPECIFICATION WILL BE REJECTED UPON DELIVERY AND ANY DELAY OR RESHIPMENT COSTS WILL BE BORNE BY THE VENDOR. At this time Reclamation anticipates making award to Western Wire Works, PO Box 4382, 4025 NW Express, Portland, OR 97210, due to past non-compliance with other vendors. All offers submitted in response to this solicitation, however, will be considered. To be considered offerors shall provide references substantiating past successful history of furnishing woven wire screen mesh for use in government/state fish screens. Delivery will be FOB Bureau of Reclamation, Yakima Field Office, 1910 Marsh Rd, Yakima, WA 98901. In your offer state earliest delivery date possible. The Government intends to make a single award based on the best value to the Government. Quotes will be evaluated based on the following: (1) Past Performance; (2) Price; (3) Delivery; (4) Warranty. Past performance is as important as all other factors combined. The closing date and time for receipt of offers is November 15, 2001, Noon, MDT.
