Description
This project will involve the design, fabrication, and/or procurement of new parts associated with the refurbishment of one of three south fish turbine pumps at John Day Lock and Dam. The parts will consist of new wicket gates, bearings, and other compone nts that match existing components, and new self-lubricated (greaseless) bushings to replace existing bushings. The Contractor shall deliver the specified components to John Day Dam on the Columbia River. This will be a sole source acquisition with a con tract award going to the original turbine manufacturer, James Leffel & Company. Statutory authority for other full and open competition exists at 10 U.S.C. 2304 (c) (1) & FAR 6.302-1. Firms that recognize and can furnish the required supplies are encoura ged to identify themselves to the contracting officer for consideration in future quotations.
